On My Bookshelf

Today's book is another in my infatuation with journals and the creativity of other people. The book Journal It! Perspectives in Creative Journaling by Jenny Doh is a collection of techniques, pages and tips/prompts for 19 well respective journal keepers. There are numerous styles from illustration to calligraphy to collage. There is something for everyone interested in "artistic" journals. More importantly, the artists support everyone who struggles with journals in a very positive approach--what I call an "everyone can journal" or "you don't have to be an artist" approach.

There are lots of real pages, techniques, and prompts to help you along. Totally recommended for scrapbookers, journal writers, art journalists and anyone interested in the creative process. Two thumbs up for this one.
